Founded 1999 on the Mediterranean Island of Giglio, Duo Macchia specialized in performing a repertoire of instrumentally smaller sized compositions: Miniature gems from the Classical and Romantic period up to the music of our present time. This results in cheerful dances from Latin America, nostalgic Klezmer melodies, and last but not least also our Swiss Folk music.
The warm, transparent sound of the classical guitar blends well with the versatile clarinet so rich in its sounds and instrumental colors.
